Many of these are licensed from museums around the world and listed below, are the museums and materials that have made this possible. Degas was mainly a sculptor, printmaker, and painter, but our selection has gone beyond his vision and has attained a broader scope of adaptation.

Fourteen-year-old Dancer (1881) by Degas
As Degas eyesight began to fail, he experimented more frequently with sculpture. The original Little Dancer of Fourteen Years was the only sculpture he exhibited during his lifetime. Made of a bronze and wax mixture, the original stands 39 inches tall and was dressed in a bodice of yellow silk, a skirt made of gauze, real ballet slippers, and a hair made of horsehair, which is tied back with a satin bow.
Petite Danseuse De Quatorze Ans (Little Dancer of Fourteen Years) 1879-1881, is the only sculpture Edgar Degas chose to exhibit throughout his lifetime. He created a revolutionary piece breaking the stereotypical cold inanimate sculptures of his time. He made his dancer come to life. Although received with some disapproval because of its stark realism, it has become one of the most time honored, beloved sculptures around the world.
Collectible quality, resin with hand-painted color details, fabric skirt. Dimensions: 6.5x3.1x2.9 (DE03)
